In my house

With my dog

Who dozes

Her head on my thigh

Snoring a satisfied snore

Safe and warm

And comfy and fed

We both ache

A happy ache

From a great day

Outside

Walking

Climbing a mountain

Achieving

Making the soreness worthy

Giving the soreness a story

Of a great day

On a great weekend

With my dog

For the memory of a day

And for the story of the soreness and the satisfaction it brings
